Audio

My favorite stories tend to be radio feature stories without reporter narration. I like it when the story can speak for itself and the listener can interpret it with little intrusion from the reporter. Of course, that’s not always the best way to tell a story. But it’s a great option for storytelling when it fits!

During the 2008-2009 college basketball season, I was lucky enough to serve as the audio engineer for the OSU Men’s Basketball team radio broadcasts.  I worked alongside Dave Hunziker, John Holcomb, Brenden Manzer and Joe Riddle to bring the mens games to thousands of listeners.  Although it was only a short appointment, I will never forget that experience and I thank those guys for the opportunity.

My experience working for and managing a mobile DJ entertainment business for over 5 years has also provided ample learning opportunities.  Even given the high-stress, high-risk nature of live mobile audio, I am confident that I can diagnose and trouble-shoot just about any audio equipment problem in ten minutes or less.

I’ve included examples of my audio work below for your review and comment. Most of it was aired on commercial, public, and college radio.
